Naturally, after we start a show about drinking my co-hosts wanted to quit drinking to lose weight. Wow, thanks guys. So instead of me drinking alone, because damn it we’re not quitting, we agreed on a Keto cocktail off while we discussed the 2019 Oscar nominations.
We invited our friend Caitlyn on to judge our carb friendly beverages. We attempted a Keto Mojito, Keto Blood Orange Jalapeño Margarita, and a simple Vodka/Sparkling Water.
The Margarita was mine, obviously. I live for anything Blood Orange, and spicy beverages. Im going to be totally honest, it was good, but it would be way better if I wasnt trying to stick to under 7 carbs.
I will be including my recipe for your pleasure, you’ll have to watch the video for the other two. Mostly because I did not bother to write them down because we had 3 hours of technical difficulties and we were ready to ROCK
Keto Spicy Blood Orange Margarita
A keto spin on one of my favorite beverages ever. Also I hate keto, so I will say this is much better NOT keto, but this is still pretty damn good. & it’s only 4.5 carbs
- 2 Oz Tequila Silver Pure Agave
- 1 Tbsp Blood Orange Juice Fresh Squeezed
- 3 Tbsp Lime Juice Fresh Squeezed
- 1 Jalapeño To muddle
- 1 Dash Pink Salt and Tajin For the Rim
- 2 tsp Stevia Sweetner If needed
- Blood Orange Sparkling Water Carb-free brand
Rim the glass first.
Muddle the jalapeño in the bottom
Add all the ingredients into the glass and top off the with sparkling water.
Give it a stir and you are done!
The only carbs that come from this drink are the fruit. I used my fitness pal in order to get the correct measurements.
If you want a non-keto version, just squeeze, like, a whole blood orange in the glass and a lime and a half. Maybe some simple syrup if you need it. I had to remake this drink to get pictures of it because the video got out of hand and thats how I made my own personal one, and its so good.
